Generation Good- Seventh Generation Healthy Baby Home Party

Seventh Generation has a part of their site called Generation Good. (https://generationgood.socialmedialink.com/) From this, I was selected to host a Healthy Baby Home Party. I received a box with a whole slew of wonderful products and samples. Some of the great items were a full size pack of Seventh Generation diapers and wipes, dish soap, sample size laundry detergent, wild flower seeds, Zarbee cough medicine and sample packs of Seventh Generation wipes. I got to make goodie bags for all my guests with the samples and information about why its so important to know what is in the products you use.

At my party we discussed how to manage pests in your garden (which is why everyone got flower seeds), how to improve indoor air quality, which produce is best to buy organic and of course how awesome Seventh Generation products are because they are natural, and work pretty great too!

We talked about how as of now, companies are not required to list all of their ingredients (I had no idea!!) because there are no regulations requiring them to do so.  We talked about the hasgtag #comeclean urging companies to fully disclose what is in their products so we can make informed decisions about what to use. I will admit that I am just starting to try to go more “green” consciously buying more natural, and organic foods, cleaning supplies, etc. and I don’t know a whole lot about it, so the information I received from Seventh Generation was eye opening.

Once the serious stuff was over we played an super fun Seventh Generation Bingo game where each item that was called out had a healthy home tip on it. For example: Health Home tip #15 talks about swapping out the “dirty dozen” foods that contain the most pesticides for organic options. And since I know you are dying to know what they are I will list them for you.  Apples, celery, bell pepper, peaches, strawberries, nectarines, lettuce, grapes, spinach, cucumbers, blueberries and potatoes. Who knew?! and of course always wash your fruits and veggies before eating.

Seventh Generation thought of everything, even sending a Bobble water bottle which I used for my bingo winner prize. Its an awesome water bottle with a charcoal filter for super clean, awesome tasting water.

I think everyone at the party had a really great time and learned a lot about the importance of knowing what is in our products. I know I learned a ton, and am thankful that brands list Seventh Generation are being honest and providing us with great product choices.
