BiC Velocity mechanical pencils are the highest quality mechanical pencils I have tried. Most mechanical pencils are cheaply made and the lead breaks easily, but this is not the case with these pencils at ll. they have a smooth, dark writing, a very durable eraser with plastic cap. The lead erases easily but does not smear. I found that I could press down more with these pencils where I was afraid to with other mechanical pencils for fear of them breaking so the writing was darker and easier to read.
They are #2 pencils with a 0.7mm lead so they are still a great option for taking to school or use on tests, They have a comfortable grooved grip that makes holding and using the pencil very comfortable. They come in fun colors. An an extra 12 leads and 5 erasers are included. The tip is retractable so you don’t have to worry about breaking off the tip when not in use. These are a really great value and can be found at many major retailers.
I know my kids aren’t super excited about going back to school but they are excited that they get these fun colorful pencils to use. My kids have used them to write and draw and really love using them because they don’t seem to break as easily and there is just something more fun about using a mechanical pencil. I love that they are not constantly having to sharpen their pencil and I’m sure their teachers will be too!
